Circling Mountains: Trusting God and Moving Forward
“Lord, I’m tired of going around the same mountain.” Have you ever prayed something like this? Not because you’re physically lost and circling the same mountain, but because your mind and heart keep returning to the same places. You find yourself in the same mental...
The Best Christmas Gift Ever
Has anyone ever asked you, “What is the most memorable Christmas gift you have received?” Over the years, whenever someone asked me that question, I instantly knew the answer. I still remember the special gift my mama gave me on Christmas when I was 11, even...
Finding Gratitude When Life Isn’t Easy
Give thanks in all circumstances; for this is God’s will for you in Christ Jesus. 1 Thessalonians 5:18 (NIV) I have days when gratitude comes easily, and others when I have to fight for it through tears and pain. When problems keep piling up, pain feels overwhelming,...

The Story Behind the Encouragement
Hello friend, welcome to my little space online. Here, I hope you find encouragement in God's word during life's toughest moments.
I understand what it’s like to live with physical and emotional pain, grief, disappointment, uncertainty, dependence, and unanswered questions.
At 15, a diving accident left me a C5 quadriplegic, changing my life forever. Over 30 years later, I’m still learning to trust God through every struggle, big or small.
I don’t have everything figured out, far from it. I am still learning to rely on God’s faithfulness amid it all.
My hope is that by sharing my personal stories of how God has worked in my life, writing about God’s life-changing word, and sharing reflections of God’s unfailing love through fictional stories, I can encourage other women to remember God’s faithfulness and persevere by faith, one day at a time.
Help Make Continued Care Possible
Because of my physical limitations from the spinal cord injury, I need caregiver help throughout every day and night. This assistance allows me to continue living at home and not in a nursing home facility. But the cost of maintaining this care is a heavy burden I cannot carry alone. Charitable support plays an important role in helping me remain safely at home.
I have partnered with a reputable nonprofit organization, Help Hope Live, which helps those with catastrophic injuries raise needed funds for disability-related expenses. Gifts made in my honor through Help Hope Live support eligible caregiver and disability-related expenses that make it possible for me to continue living, working, and writing from home.
If you would like to learn more about my caregiving needs or support my Help Hope Live campaign, I would be grateful for your prayers and partnership.
