I’m excited to share that I’m working on the first book in a Christian romance series I have planned. Although it’s the second Christian romance novel I’ve written, it will be the first in this series. I initially wrote what will now be the second book, then was inspired to create a new beginner novel for the series. The book is titled “Truly Perfect.” Here is the synopsis.

In the heart of small-town Cross Land, Texas, pastor’s daughter, Debbie Bradshaw, strives to maintain an image of Christian perfection she believes is expected of her. As an elementary school teacher and youth group leader, she’s the model of virtue. But beneath her flawless façade, Debbie grapples with shameful secrets from her past.

When Ryan Thompson, a former town rebel, returns as the new youth minister, Debbie’s carefully built world begins to feel a bit shaky. Six years after he abruptly left town and ended their secret relationship, Ryan, now with renewed faith and a clear sense of purpose, is eager to serve the community that once judged him.

As Debbie and Ryan confront their shared past, can they let go of the hurt and disappointment and open their hearts to a new beginning built on love and faith in God?

When a scandal threatens to expose Debbie’s secrets to the townspeople, will Ryan stand by her and support her in finding the courage to let go of her obsession with perfection and accept the perfect love of Christ?
